Multiple people reportedly shot at southeast Fort Worth park

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting at the Village Creek Park, 4750 Wilbarger Street, just east of Highway 287 in the southeast Fort Worth area.

Multiple emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at 6:33PM this evening. There were early reports of multiple people injured from a shooting.

MedStar EMS has sent multiple ambulances to the scene.

Details are limited at this time, but unconfirmed reports indicate there are at least four people injured. Two have sustained critical injuries.

We are awaiting official word from Fort Worth PD and MedStar. More information to follow.

Update – MedStar confirms four (4) patients, two critically injured. One other with serious injuries. Another with non-serious injuries. All adults transported to area hospitals.

UPDATE: Shots ring out as hundreds attend party at southeast Fort Worth park; five people shot. The City of Fort Worth’s website says parks are open, “provided individuals comply with the six-feet social distancing requirement.”
