Motorcyclist killed after running red light, hitting vehicle in Southlake, police say

The Southlake Police Department is investigating a fatality accident involving a motorcycle that occurred yesterday evening (Wednesday) around 8:30PM.

Officials say a motorcyclist was driving westbound on E. Southlake Blvd. when he ran a red light and struck a vehicle in the intersection at White Chapel Blvd.

EMS transported the motorcyclist to Baylor Grapevine trauma center with major injuries, but he was pronounced deceased a short time later. He has been identified as a 31-year-old man from Roanoke.

Emergency responders closed the intersection of Southlake Blvd at White Chapel Blvd for several hours while crews investigated the scene. The intersection was reopened around 1:00AM.
