Driver critically hurt after crashing up under tanker truck on SH-360

Several emergency responders from the cities of Grand Prairie and Arlington are on the scene of a severe crash on southbound Highway 360 at the Ave K. exit.

According to reports, a vehicle struck the back end of a tanker truck. The flight crew stated on the hospital report that the steering wheel was crushed all the way to the rear passenger seats of the vehicle.

Firefighters extricated the driver, a 30’s year old male, who sustained critical injuries in the crash. CareFlite has airlifted him to Texas Health Harris Hospital with significant injuries.

All southbound lanes of 360 are closed at Ave K. while emergency responders clear up the scene. All northbound traffic was temporarily closed while the helicopter landed on the highway, but has since been reopened.
