Recent high school graduate killed in ATV crash near Granbury

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred during the overnight hours of Saturday, July 10th.

At around 1:20am on Saturday morning, multiple emergency responders were called to the scene of an all terrain vehicle crash along Bolton Road near Farm to Market Road 51 (Weatherford Highway) just north of Granbury.

DPS troopers say a 2017 utility vehicle was traveling along Bolton Road when the driver crashed off the road and into a fence.

The driver, identified as a 21-year-old man from Granbury, and two sibling passengers, an 18-year-old man and 21-year-old woman, were ejected in the crash and seriously injured. The 18-year-old was pronounced deceased yesterday (Sunday) afternoon after being airlifted to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth. The 21-year-old woman sustained serious injuries. The driver was also injured, but unknown severity.

The victim has been publicly identified as a recent graduate of Godley High School. Godley ISD published a post on their Facebook page as a remembrance.
