Two adults, seven kids hurt in Parker County crash

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a serious crash that occurred earlier today along Farm to Market Road 51 at Veal Station Road a few miles south of Springtown.

At around 10:00am, a 24-year-old SUV driver was traveling too fast for the wet conditions when she hydroplaned off the roadway and hit a utility pole.

Parker County ESD #1 firefighters, Life Care EMS, and multiple law enforcement all responded to the scene. Firefighters extricated one person from the wrecked vehicle. Life Care responded with four ambulances to transport all nine victims.

Authorities say a total of two adults and seven juveniles were transported to Fort Worth hospitals for medical treatment. The severity of their injuries is unknown.

FM 51 was closed for a portion of time while police cleared the scene.
