Body recovered from Trinity River near Fort Worth’s Panther Island
The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body in the Trinity River.
At around 11:00am this morning, multiple emergency responders were called to the area of Viola Street after there were reports of a body in the water.
A body was pulled from the Trinity River, not far from the Panther Island Pavilion.
No identity has been released. Fort Worth PD is investigating.
UPDATE – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has publicly released the man’s identity as a 43-year-old man from Fort Worth. Unofficial reports indicate the man may have been homeless. Police are continuing their investigation.
