Three women killed in crash near Glen Rose

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred yesterday (Saturday) afternoon along Highway 67 near Glen Rose, southwest of Fort Worth.

At approximately 3:42pm, multiple emergency responders from Somervell County responded to the area of Highway 67 near Fossil Rim Wildlife Center for reports of a two vehicle crash.

Traffic investigators say a passenger car, driven by a 56-year-old woman from Glen Rose, was going westbound on the highway when the driver crossed over the center median and hit an oncoming SUV.

The 56-year-old driver of the passenger car and two other women inside were pronounced deceased at the scene. The other victims have been identified as a 41-year-old woman and 35-year-old woman both from Marshall, Texas.

The driver of the oncoming vehicle was transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. She has been identified as a 23-year-old woman from Maine.
