Police looking for clues in downtown Dallas murder
The Dallas Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred during the evening hours of last Friday, August 7th, not far from City Hall.
At around 10:08pm, Dallas police were called to the 500 block of Park Avenue in downtown for a person shot near a homeless camp. Emergency responders located a seriously injured transgender person.
Dallas Fire Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
A silver sedan was seen fleeing and went westbound on Marilla Street after the shooting.
The motive and circumstances surrounding this case are unclear at this time, according to police.
