Body found in Trinity River near White Settlement bridge, officials say
The Fort Worth Fire Department and Police Department are currently investigating a drowning in the Trinity River in west Fort Worth.
At around 4:30pm this afternoon, multiple emergency responders were called to the Trinity River at the White Settlement Road bridge after a citizen called 9-1-1 to report a possible body in the water.
Crews on scene requested swift water rescue teams and began a search of the river. They located one victim who has been pronounced deceased at the scene.
Expect police activity in the area.
