I-30 closed in Fort Worth due to two major crashes

The Fort Worth Police Department has reopened the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30, but westbound lanes remain closed near Camp Bowie Blvd due to an earlier crash involving a semi truck.

At around 12:50am, multiple emergency responders were dispatched to lanes of Interstate 30 near Bryant Irvin for a major accident involving an 18-wheeler and a motorcycle.

Police say the 18-wheeler ended up on its side in the westbound lanes after the collision occurred in the eastbound lanes. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on the scene.

While working the scene, an 18-wheeler collided with two FWPD police vehicles in the eastbound lanes, forcing the closure of that direction as well. No officers were injured.

As of 7:45am, westbound lanes are closed and eastbound lanes are open.
