Drive-by shooting kills young girl sleeping in south Dallas home
The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred overnight in the South Dallas neighborhood.
At 2:24am Tuesday morning, Dallas police officers responded to a shooting in the 3200 block of Reynolds Avenue. Paramedics and police found a young girl suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. Dallas Fire Rescue transported her to a local hospital, but she was pronounced deceased.
Authorities say the 18-year-old girl was sleeping in her bedroom when at least two individuals drove by and fired shots into the home.
