Three people shot, one fatally, at trailer park in Keene

The Keene Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred earlier this afternoon in their city.

At 1:43pm, Keene officers were dispatched to Alaska Street for a shots fired investigation. When officers arrived, they located a white SUV parked at the end of the cul-de-sac on Alaska Street.

One adult man was located near the vehicle, deceased from at least one gunshot wound. Two additional gunshot victims were located in the area. Firefighters and paramedics provided medical treatment to both victims who were subsequently flown to Fort Worth hospitals with life-threatening injuries.

“At least one suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction,” police say. “He is described as a heavy-set Hispanic adult male, wearing a gray hoodie and black pants.”

A vehicle fled the scene with a possible second suspect. The vehicle is described as a dark small gray or black sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Sonic.

Joshua PD, Burleson PD, and Fort Worth PD’s Air-1 helicopter assisted Keene officers search for the suspect on foot, but he was not located.

It is believed that the suspects and the victims were known to each other, and there is no information about the motive of the shooting.

This is an ongoing investigation.
