Motorcyclist killed, passenger in vehicle seriously hurt after collision at Southlake intersection

The Southlake Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred around 5:45pm Friday evening at the intersection of E. Southlake Blvd and Kimball Avenue.

According to multiple eyewitnesses, a motorcyclist was traveling at high speeds on Southlake Blvd when he entered the intersection and collided with the front passenger side of an SUV.

The motorcyclist was critically injured in the crash. Southlake paramedics performed CPR at the scene and en route to Baylor Grapevine hospital, but his injuries were too severe. He was pronounced deceased at 6:38pm. He has been identified as a 24-year-old man from Roanoke.

A female passenger inside the SUV was transported to a local hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. Her condition has not been released.

Southlake PD has not yet issued a statement regarding the crash. We will update this story if one is released.
