Latest updates on the Allen mass shooting

At 3:36 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, an Allen Police Department officer on an unrelated call heard gunshots at Allen Premium Outlets.

A dashcam video from a nearby driver shows the suspect get out of a Dodge Charger parked at the end of a parking aisle, and open fire outside of the building.

The officer engaged the suspect and killed him. He then called for emergency personnel.

Officers clearing the stores reported multiple victims at the H&M outlet store. Videos of the scene show the victims outside of the building.

Nine victims were transported to local hospitals by Allen Fire Department.

A multi-agency response helped secure the mall. There is no longer an active threat.

A reunification point has been created on Chelsea Boulevard.

An additional press conference is planned for later this evening. We will provide updates at that time.

UPDATE: Authorities with Allen FD confirm 7 individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene, including the shooter. 9 people were transported to area hospitals. Of those 9, two have succumbed to their injuries. Three are in critical condition and four are in stable condition.
