Woman killed, others airlifted from rollover crash in Hill County
On Sunday, July 9th, at approximately 6:08pm, TxDPS and local first responders were called to a rollover crash on Highway 31 south of Hubbard.
Authorities say a van was traveling eastbound on Highway 31 when it experienced a tire blowout. The driver lost control drove off the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn.
A 52-year-old Lindale woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Five others were transported to hospitals for treatment. Three medical helicopters responded to the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
If you experience a tire blowout, DPS says to grab the wheel firmly, take your foot off the gas, and move to a safe location. Never swerve, accelerate, slam on your brakes, or make any other sudden movements.
