Mother arrested in Munchausen by Proxy case
The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help to solve a case of Munchausen by Proxy, also known as medical child abuse.
The abuse has been happening for an unknown amount of time, but Tarrant County investigators believe Jessica Gasser, 27, had multiple unnecessary medical procedures performed on her 3-year-old child.
During this abuse, Gasser sent messages to a friend that she would delete all of her posts on Facebook about her child’s health, including private messages. In the past, she has gone by the screen name MedicalMamaJess.
She was arrested in Rusk County last week and is being held in the Tarrant County Jail.
