Armored vehicle guard robbed, killed in Old East Dallas
On September 1, 2023, at about 9:25 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 100 block of S. Carroll Avenue.
The preliminary investigation determined a uniformed armored car guard was shot during a robbery at the location.
The 52-year-old man was taken to a local hospital where he died.
There is no suspect description at this time, and no suspect is in custody.
The investigation is ongoing with detectives actively working leads.
