Man found dead in Garland; person of interest, subject of Amber Alert, now in custody
On August 29, just after 10:00 AM, Garland police officers were dispatched to 342 West Oates Road, Audubon Park, about a male subject possibly passed out in a vehicle.
Officers arrived on the scene and determined the male was deceased with an injury indicating he was the victim of a gunshot. Garland detectives responded to the scene and the victim was identified as a 21-year-old of Mesquite. Mr. He had been reported as a missing person to the Dallas Police Department on August 27, 2023.
Garland detectives have identified two persons of interest in the murder. Warrants for Murder have been obtained for both Natalie Navarro (17) and Yordy Martinez (21).
During the investigation, Natalie Navarro became the subject of an Amber Alert issued by the Dallas Police Department on September 1, 2023. Navarro was subsequently located by law enforcement and is currently safe and in custody.
Yordy Martinez is still at large and wanted for Murder.
