The Dallas Police Department says a 32-year-old man was shot and killed last night just before midnight in an armed robbery attempt.
Dallas police officers responded to the scene at the Park at Cliff Creek Apartments, 7310 Marvin D. Love Freeway (Highway 67), and located a gunshot victim. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
During the course of their investigation, officers learned through a relative of the victim that two males had approached the victim just before the shooting and demanded property at gunpoint. The suspects then shot the victim and fled the location.

Plano firefighters responded to a structure fire this evening at the ‘At Home’ distribution facility and warehouse in the 1600 block of E. Plano Parkway.
Battalion 1, Medic 1, Engine 1, Truck 1, and other Plano FD units arrived with heavy black smoke showing from the facility. At least one 18-wheeler trailer was reported to be on fire along with a loading dock.
Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire without it spreading to most of the building. A 2nd alarm was called for assistance.
The fire has been extinguished. Plano FD personnel remain on scene at this time.
The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatality accident involving a vehicle and an 18-wheeler that occurred on Sunday.
At around 4:15pm, Grand Prairie police and fire were dispatched to a major accident along eastbound I20 near PGBT (161). A vehicle had veered off the main lanes and impacted the rear of a disabled 18-wheeler parked along the inside shoulder of the highway.
The driver of the vehicle, a 22-year-old male, was killed at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
A Severe Thunderstorm WATCH has been issued for much of north Texas, including the DFW Metroplex, until 10pm this evening.
A large cluster or squall line of thunderstorms is expected to move through late this afternoon and evening. Those storms could be strong to severe with large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado or two. Heavy rain and frequent lightning will also be a concern.
