Arlington PD unit involved in crash Sunday evening

An Arlington police officer was involved in a crash this evening at the Highway 360 service road (Watson Rd) and Six Flags Drive.

Arlington PD has not released any information regarding this incident, so details are limited. The intersection was blocked for clean up and investigation.

Additional details will be published here when released by officials.

Medical helicopters respond to head-on collision Sunday morning in Johnson County

Multiple agencies all responded to a major accident earlier this morning in the 6800 block of FM 1902 just north of FM 917 west of Joshua.

The crash involved two pick-up trucks and entrapped at least one individual. Johnson County ESD #83, Burleson FD, Medstar EMS, Johnson County EMS, and multiple law enforcement all responded to the scene.

CareFlite and Air Evac both sent helicopters to the scene. CareFlite airlifted a patient to JPS. It is unknown where Air Evac transported. There are no additional details on injuries.

FM 1902 was shut down while crews worked the scene. It has since been reopened.

Any additional information released by officials will be published in this report.

UPDATE: Crews recover two bodies from quarry at west Fort Worth commercial facility

Earlier today, Fort Worth Fire crews successfully recovered two bodies from the quarry at 2251 Silver Creek Road. Both had been reported missing since last night.

According to officials, one person fell into the private pond on the site of Silver Creek Materials. Another jumped in to attempt a rescue. Both went under and did not surface.

Multiple crews were called to the scene, but it was too late to be saved. The search transitioned to a recovery last night.

At around 11:04am, crews recovered the body of a 25-year-old Hispanic male. About an hour and a half later at 12:25am, they located the body of a 51-year-old Hispanic male. Both are reported to be related.

Fort Worth Police are investigating the incident.

Commercial Fire (Fort Worth)

Engine 25 reports smoke showing from a large metal building at a commercial facility in the 300 block of Longhorn Road.

Battalion 2, Battalion 3, Engine 12, Engine 15, Engine 40, Quint 12, Quint 9, Squad 2 all assigned to the fire.

*UPDATE – 2nd alarm requested to the scene. Battalion 1, Battalion 6, Quint 13, Quint 23, Engine 1, Engine 37, Engine 41, Engine 8 all dispatched on the 2nd alarm. Heavy smoke now showing from the structure.

Emergency responders working multi-vehicle crash with injuries in Wylie

Wylie FD/EMS and Police are on scene of a major accident involving multiple vehicles at FM 544 and Country Club Road.

Battalion 140 reported five vehicles involved, two with substantial damage. There are multiple patients at the scene. EMS is evaluating injuries. Multiple ambulances have been requested to the scene.

Murphy and Sachse are both assisting. Updates to follow.

Update – Reports indicate at least one serious/critical injury. Extrication is in progress on at least one vehicle.

Update – One patient being transported priority 1 (emergency) to MCP.

UPDATE: Two men reportedly drown in quarry; recovery in progress

The Fort Worth Fire Department confirms earlier reports that two men have reportedly drowned in a private rock quarry in west Fort Worth.

Emergency responders initially responded to the scene at 2251 Silver Creek Road around 7:30pm this evening. 9-1-1 information report two men had drowned at the Silver Creek Materials facility.

FWFD reports one person fell into the water and another jumped in to attempt a rescue. Both are now unaccounted for.

“We are in recovery mode now due to 15 degree water, zero visibility and depth of 50+ ft,” says FWFD.

Emergency responders on scene of possible drowning at facility in west Fort Worth

Multiple Fort Worth PD officers along with FWFD Battalion 5, Dive 32, Dive 7, Quint 23, and MedStar EMS are on scene of a possible drowning incident in west Fort Worth.

Unconfirmed dispatch information indicates two employees possibly fell into a private lake on the Silver Creek Materials facility at 2251 Silver Creek Road.

The dive team is in the water searching for the possible victims. Updates will be provided once released by officials.

One dead, one injured in Saturday morning shooting in Pleasant Grove

The Dallas Police Department is seeking information related to a shooting homicide this morning in the Pleasant Grove area.

Dallas police officers responded to the scene in the 9800 block of Glengreen Drive around 9:10am this morning. When they arrived, they located a 28-year-old male deceased from a gunshot wound. Another victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing 3-4 black males flee the location immediately after the shooting and enter a tan colored 4-door sedan.

Dallas Police are asking that anyone with information regarding this incident contact Detective Grubbs with the Dallas PD Homicide Unit at 214-671-3675.

UPDATE: Three injured after vehicle crashes into house near McKinney

At around 3:30pm today, McKinney FD/EMS along with Collin County sheriffs deputies and DPS troopers responded to a major accident involving a vehicle vs. house near Sweetwater Cove and Three Rivers Lane in Collin County.

Preliminary investigation indicates a Cadillac was traveling west on Sweetwater Cove when, for an as of yet undetermined reason, left the roadway. The vehicle travel across a sidewalk, through a fence and struck a house located in the 7700 block of Caddo Cove.

The driver was transported to Medical City McKinney with unknown injuries. A back seat passenger was also transported to Medical City McKinney with non-life-threatening injuries. A third passenger sustained minor injuries.

There was no one inside the residence at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation at this time.

UPDATE: DPS Trooper injured in rollover crash in Ellis County

Here is a quick update to the incident we posted yesterday afternoon.

At around 4:30pm, Ellis County ESD #6 personnel along with Ellis County EMS were called to the scene of a major accident involving a police officer in the 2200 block of FM 878 west of Ike.

According to DPS, preliminary information indicates the trooper was responding to assist another police department with a priority call. The trooper was traveling east on FM 878 when, for an as of yet undetermined reason, the vehicle left the roadway. The vehicle slid off the north side of the roadway and overturned.

The trooper was transported to Baylor Waxahachie hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
