No injuries and no hazmat in train derailment north of Hillsboro

Multiple agencies are on scene of a train derailment that occurred this evening in the area of Hill County Road 4281 between Hill County Road 4231 and Hill County Road 4223.

Officials confirm no one was injured in the derailment and there are no hazardous material / chemical spills. The Union Pacific train derailed just north of Hillsboro proper.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office is requesting all people avoid this area due to extensive clean up.

Man shot and killed outside of shopping center in northeast Dallas

The Dallas Police Department along with Fire-Rescue personnel responded to a shooting just after midnight Monday at 9205 Skillman Street. This is in the Lake Highlands area of northeast Dallas.

When emergency personnel arrived on scene, they located a 59-year-old male shot in the parking lot of the center. DFR transported him to a local hospital, but he died as a result of his injuries.

DPD is investigating this as a Homicide and are asking for the public’s help. If you saw anything in this particular area, please call them right now at 214-671-3650 and provide those details.

Two teenagers shot and injured in east Arlington

The Arlington Police Department says they are investigating a shooting in the 1300 block of Southmoor Drive.

Police along with AFD and EMS responded to the scene around 1:15PM today. “Two individuals were shot, but are expected to survive.”

Arlington EMS paramedics transported both patients to Medical City Arlington. Both patients were juveniles / teenagers. One was reportedly shot in the pelvis area and the other shot in the leg.

Investigators have not ruled out that a car may have shot at them and drove off.

UPDATE: 30-year-old identified as victim in fatal Flower Mound crash

A report from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office confirms a 30-year-old male has been positively identified as the person killed in a single vehicle crash Sunday evening.

Multiple emergency personnel responded to the scene around 6:30PM near the 4400 block of Glenwick Blvd. They located one vehicle in the street with major damage. The driver, who lives less than a mile from the crash scene, was killed.

Police say he was driving at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a tree.

No other details have been released at this time.

UPDATE: Motorcycle rider dies at hospital after crash in Burleson

Here is a quick update to the incident we posted a week ago last Monday, August 12th regarding a motorcycle crash near Burleson.

Burleson FD, PD, and MedStar EMS were all dispatched to a major accident involving a motorcycle around 8PM on Monday evening. When emergency responders arrived, they located a motorcycle rider with serious injuries.

The rider was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to information released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, the rider died at Harris Methodist hospital over the weekend. He has been identified as a 51-year-old male from Joshua.

No other details have been released at this time.

Police are investigating a shooting incident in Lewisville

The Lewisville Police Department is investigating a reported shooting incident in the general area of Spinks Road and Valley Parkway. No exact location will be given due to police investigation.

Dispatch reported as one person shot.

Lewisville Engine 3 and Medic 3 responded along with the Battalion Chief and EMS 1. Medic 3 ground transported one patient to the hospital with potentially serious injuries.

Police are investigating the scene.

Update – Police say the person shot was treated and released. No life threatening injuries reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Police investigating serious crash in Flower Mound neighborhood

Flower Mound FD and PD are on scene of a major accident that occurred earlier this evening near the 4400 block of Glenwick Blvd. It was dispatched as a crash with possible entrapment.

First arriving police reported one person not conscious and not breathing at the scene. Reported fatality at the scene. One vehicle has major damage with a tarp draped over.

The crash was dispatched just before 6:30PM this evening. Police are still on scene investigating the incident.

All lanes of Glenwick Blvd are closed in this residential area.
