The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a major accident involving a vehicle vs pedestrian in the 4900 block of North Freeway (I35W) Tollway.
Units were dispatched to the scene just before 6:30PM in the southbound lanes of the I35W express near Basswood.
Police say a pedestrian (stranded motorist) was struck and killed by a passing vehicle. She was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The driver is not being detained at this time.
Lanes of the southbound tollway have been closed to investigate the scene.
