Several ambulances called to Plano nursing home after possible COVID19 outbreak

The Plano Fire Rescue and EMS responded to a medical situation at The Auberge at Plano retirement and assisted living facility earlier today after multiple residents had symptoms of the COVID-19 virus.

Paramedics responded to the facility at 3690 Mapleshade Lane around 11:30AM this morning. Multiple ambulances were called in an effort to transport infected or exposed residents to local hospitals.

At least three individuals were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions were not released.

The entire region is currently in the midst of a “COVID19 surge,” reports health officials. Cases in Collin County, where the facility is located, have risen the past few weeks. Dallas and Tarrant counties are also reporting record numbers.

It is critical that everyone wears a mask in public, practices physical distancing when possible, and washes your hands frequently. The most vulnerable population are the elderly, so avoid any contact with older friends and family members.
