The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatality accident that occurred around 9:30PM tonight (Friday) in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 (LBJ) just before Highway 175.
An SUV traveling along eastbound Interstate 20 failed to avoid a construction barrier vehicle and collided into the rear of the truck. The SUV then caught fire.
Officials on the scene confirm two (2) people are deceased and two (2) others have been transported to local hospitals. The conditions of the transported have not yet been released.
All lanes of eastbound I-20 were temporarily closed. Currently, the left shoulder is getting by. Please use caution if you must travel through the area.
