The Richardson Police Department has launched a homicide investigation into the fatal stabbing death of a 48-year-old man late last night.
Just before midnight last night, a Richardson police officer was flagged down by a pedestrian who found a body laying on the sidewalk along W. Campbell Road near Custer Road.
Police say the man had been fatally stabbed multiple times.
Detectives believe the victim may have been involved in a fight while walking to his vehicle, having just left his nearby business.
