At 5:57am this morning, Plano Fire Rescue and DPS Troopers were called to a major accident on northbound Dallas North Tollway at the Sam Rayburn Tollway.
Investigators say a driver was traveling northbound on the Dallas North Tollway and took the exit ramp to the Sam Rayburn Tollway, but made an “unsafe” lane change back onto the northbound lanes and collided with the dividing median.
The 26-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as a resident of Carrollton.
The investigation is ongoing.
