On Friday, June 28th, 2024, at approximately 8:21 P.M., Haltom City Police, Fire, and MedStar EMS were dispatched to the intersection of NE 28th Street and Higgins Lane for a reported major accident.
First responders arrived and located an adult male motorcyclist that had been struck and killed by another vehicle.
Police say the investigation is in its early stages, but it is believed that the rider lost control and began sliding towards another vehicle who was waiting to make a turn. His motorcycle struck the stationary vehicle, but he slid into an adjacent lane of traffic where he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
There were no other reported injuries for this incident.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office will take control of the body and release identity information when appropriate.
“At this time, we have no reason to believe that a criminal act occurred,” says HCPD.
