On Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 3:35am, Fort Worth FD and PD along with Medstar EMS were dispatched to the 3000 block of Northwest Loop 820 Freeway, Westbound Loop 820 just after Marine Creek Parkway, for a major accident.
Upon arrival, officers located a two-vehicle accident.
It is currently believed that a vehicle traveling the wrong direction on Loop 820 collided with another vehicle, which resulted in a vehicle fire and entrapment.
Five individuals were pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel, and one additional individual has been transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. The scene remains active.
The Traffic Investigations Unit was notified and will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
