On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at approximately 2:37 a.m., Fort Worth officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Decatur Avenue in response to a major accident call.
Preliminary reports indicate that a vehicle collided with a tree at this location. One individual was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
Two additional individuals sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Fort Worth Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit has been notified and will conduct a thorough follow-up investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the identity of the deceased and the official manner and cause of death.
