On December 4th at approximately 6:38am, Wylie Police, Wylie Fire and Rescue, and the Parker Fire Department responded to the intersection of Parker Road and Elaine in reference to a major accident.
Upon officers’ arrival, they observed a vehicle wedged under the trailer of an 18-wheeler. The driver of the vehicle was deceased.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the collision involved an 18-wheeler and a passenger car. The driver of the passenger car was pronounced deceased as a result of the collision. The driver’s identity is being withheld at this time pending next of kin notification.
The crash is currently being investigated by the department’s Accident Investigation Team.
