On Friday at around 6:00pm, Parker County ESD 1, PCHD EMS, and DPS responded to a major accident on Farm to Market Road 51 between Veal Station and Carter roads.
Units arrived to find two vehicles involved in a head-on collision with major damage.
DPS investigators say a 70-year-old Granbury woman driving southbound on FM 51 crossed the center lane for an undetermined reason, and struck a northbound vehicle head-on. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officials say the driver and three juveniles in the northbound vehicle were all transported to local hospitals with serious to life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
