On Friday, December 12, 2025, at approximately 4:40 a.m., officers from the Fort Worth Police Department were called to an apartment complex in the 6400 block of Wildwood Circle in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers learned that an adult male and an adult female were giving another woman a ride to the apartment complex. Once they arrived at the location, the female acquaintance exited the vehicle. As the male driver prepared to leave, he was approached by two unidentified suspects who attempted to enter his vehicle. One of the suspects produced a gun and fired it, striking the driver. The suspects then fled the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene and are actively investigating.
At this time, evidence suggests this to be an isolated incident, and there is no known threat to the community.
