Man drowns near Eagle Point Marina at Lake Lewisville

On Sunday evening at around 7:00pm, Lewisville Fire Department and Texas Parks and Wildlife personnel responded to a drowning near Eagle Point Marina on Lake Lewisville.

Upon arrival, Lewisville FD located an unconscious person that was pulled from the water and attempted resuscitation efforts. CPR was administered on the individual, but he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

TPWD says two brothers were attempting to dock their boat when the victim fell into the water and was unable to get back into the board or make it to the dock safely. The operator of the boat was able to get the victim back to the shore where CPR was started prior to emergency personnel arriving on scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as a 48-year-old man.

The incident remains under investigation by the Texas Parks and Wildlife agency.
