The Denton Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred earlier this morning along E. Sherman Drive / FM 428 near FM 2153 on the far north side of town.
Multiple emergency responders were dispatched to the scene just before 11:00am. When first responders arrived, they found two men deceased inside one of the vehicles. An injured man in the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital with injuries.
Lanes of Sherman Drive were closed for a few hours while police investigated the scene.

*UPDATE*
Denton PD has released additional information regarding this accident. A Ford pickup was traveling southbound on Sherman Drive when the driver crossed into northbound traffic, hitting another pickup truck nearly head-on. The driver and passenger of the northbound pickup were killed in the crash.
According to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the two victims, an 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, were missionaries from their church.
