Several police agencies have taken a suspect into custody after a prolonged manhunt in the southwest Dallas area.
At around 5:00pm this evening, law enforcement from the US Marshal’s Task Force were surveilling a capital murder suspect at a house in the 9000 block of High Plain Lane. The suspect was alerted to police and fled into a wooded area adjacent to the neighborhood.
Dallas PD was called to assist the officers and other agencies involved in the operation. Dallas PD Air-1 and DPS-101 helicopters provided aerial assistance.
A large perimeter was set up around the Park in the Woods and a massive search began.
At around 8:30pm, the suspect was located and arrested without incident in the area of Eagle Ford Drive.
