On Saturday, March 22, 2025, at approximately 5:47 p.m., Fort Worth FD, PD, and Medstar EMS were dispatched to the area of Beach and East Freeway (Near the Trinity River bridge) in reference to a vehicle that had gone into the river.
Upon arrival, officers located the car in the river and jumped into the water. An adult female was pulled out of the water and life saving procedures were administered. She was transported to the nearest hospital in critical condition.
Details indicated that an infant was also in the car. Authorities searched the water Saturday evening and Sunday morning, and located the infant’s body Sunday morning.
The crash remains under investigation.
