On Sunday, December 8th, at around 3:50pm, multiple emergency responders were dispatched to a major accident along Farm to Market Road 730 near Clayton Road in Parker County.
DPS investigators say a 21-year-old man was driving southbound on FM 730 when he attempted to pass a vehicle in a no-passing zone along a curve. As he made the pass, he struck a northbound SUV head-on.
Three individuals inside the SUV were injured. A 71-year-old Azle woman was pronounced deceased from her injuries have being transported to a Fort Worth hospital. The other two occupants, a 69-year-old woman and 45-year-old woman, were also transported to Fort Worth hospitals with serious injuries.
The 21-year-old Weatherford driver was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter and two counts of Intoxication Assault.
