At around 2:26pm this afternoon, Frisco Fire/EMS and Police responded to an accident near the intersection of Majestic Gardens Drive and Killian Court.
Initial reports indicate a vehicle was pulling a sled with two teenaged girls on it when the sled hit a tree.
Both of the individuals on the sled sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident. Paramedics transported both victims to local hospitals with CPR in progress.
The accident remains under investigation.
UPDATE – FULL STATEMENT FROM FRISCO PD:
“Frisco Police Department and Frisco Fire Department responded to an accident where juveniles were involved in a sledding accident.
On January 25, 2026, at approximately 2:26pm, Frisco PD received a call from an uninvolved party who reported an accident in the area of Majestic Gardens Drive and Killian Court. Frisco PD and FD arrived on scene and located two 16-year-old females with life threatening injuries and began administering life saving measures. The two females were transported to local hospitals where one succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital. The other is in critical condition. Since both are juveniles, no other identifiable information will be released.
Preliminary investigation indicates a 16-year-old male was operating a Jeep Wrangler while pulling the two females on a sled. Witnesses reported the sled struck a curb and collided with a tree. This incident remains under active investigation, with support from the Denton County District Attorney’s Office.
The Frisco Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends affected by this tragic incident. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
