Shooting (Arlington)

Shooting (Arlington) Arlington PD is working a shooting incident in the 1100 blk of Silverwood Drive. Avoid the area. MTF. A1

UPDATE – Statement from Lt. Cook with Arlington PD: “We responded around 6am to multiple reports of shots being fired. When officers arrived on scene, they did locate a suspect; however, he did refuse to surrender. He did fire upon officers. At this point, we believe we do have the apartment surrounded. We have assistance from the Grand Prairie Police Department. Their SWAT team is on scene assisting us. And at this point, we will continue to try to negotiate a peaceful surrender with the suspect. We have 1 confirmed victim, the condition of that victim is unknown at this time.”

UPDATE – Arlington Shooting *UPDATE – APD: Suspect is now in custody after surrendering to law enforcement.

Show your Logo / Patch #39 – Pictured here is the logo/patch of the Fire/Rescue division of Texas Motor Speedway. The division is a branch of the Track Services section of Speedway Operations. For day to day operations, 3 Rescue trucks are utilized but this expands to 6 fire, 2 rescue tool, 1 water unit, and a command vehicle during a typical NASCAR event. The completely part-time staff consists of over 150 firefighters who specialize in vehicle firefighting & extrication of over 10 different types of race vehicles. They serve a community within the property that can expand to over 200,000 people overnight. The center of the patch is known as the “Turtle Shell” and is the logo for Speedway Motorsports Inc. It is shared by all the tracks operated by SMI.  . Fatality Accident (Irving)

Fatality Accident (Irving) Earlier this morning, Irving Fire/EMS and IPD worked a major accident on Irving Blvd. between Story Rd. and Belt Line Rd. 1 vehicle wrapped completely around a tree. Irving EMS transported to Parkland, but patient was pronounced at the hospital. (We removed picture of the scene due to knowledge of fatality – thank you for understanding). A1

High water (Ft Worth)

High water (Ft Worth) Engine 27 is requesting PD to close Trinity Blvd behind Bell Helicopter as there are several vehicles stalled in high water at this time. Engine 27 checking for occupants of the vehicles. PD needing to close Trinity Blvd between Precinct Line Road and Bell Spur. A2
