Weather Info Update (Dallas)

The City of Dallas just wrapped up a press conference out at Loop 12 and I30. City of Dallas spokesperson Sana Syed says Dallas Fire and Police personnel responded to hundreds of high water/flooding calls overnight. Dallas Fire Rescue performed 10 high water rescues. A TxDOT spokesperson confirmed all northbound and southbound lanes of Loop 12 at I30 will be closed for “several days” due to the amount of water on the roadway. Unfortunately, Dallas PD confirmed one weather/flood related fatality near California Crossing Road and Northwest Highway earlier today. And since more rain is on the way late tonight and tomorrow, DPD says residents should simply “stay home, watch a movie, and cook some popcorn.” Sounds like a good plan to me. Be safe, all.
