Man shot while looking for Fort Worth pizza restaurant he saw on TikTok

At around 8:20pm this evening, Fort Worth officers were dispatched to John Peter Smith Hospital in reference to a victim who had arrived at the emergency room seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the shooting had occurred at an unknown location near Glen Garden Drive in Fort Worth. The victim, an adult male, stated that he had been searching for a pizza restaurant that he had seen in a TikTok video. The victim stated that he had pulled to the side of the road to research the address when an unknown adult male suspect approached, produced a handgun and announced a robbery.  The victim stated that the suspect then fired one shot, striking the victim in the right arm.  He then fled to a friend’s house on Glen Garden to seek assistance. 

The victim was transported by another person to the hospital for medical treatment for a non-life-threatening injury. 

There is no suspect in custody and the Gun Violence Unit has been requested to respond.

Young driver killed in crash while fleeing from Mesquite police

On Monday, November 27th, 2023, at 10:40pm, the Mesquite Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Dodge Charger, which was later found to be stolen. The driver attempted to flee from officers in the vehicle.

The vehicle exited Gross Road from North Bound IH 635, left the roadway, and subsequently collided with a traffic light pole at the intersection of Ridgeview Street and Gross Road.

The driver of the Charger was identified as an 18-year-old from Mesquite. He died on the scene. The front passenger was identified as a 17-year-old female, who was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation.

The incident remains under investigation.

UPDATE: 18-year-old burglar shot by Frisco homeowner

 The Frisco Police Department has arrested a burglary suspect who was shot and wounded by a homeowner while attempting to gain entry into the homeowner’s residence.

On Sunday, November 26, 2023, at approximately 8:06 p.m., Frisco Police Officers responded to a suspicious activity call in the 10400-block of Belfort Drive.  A resident advised Dispatch that an unknown subject broke into their backyard, pulled a ladder off the house, and used it to break a window.

As Officers approached the location, they reported hearing gunshots.  Upon securing the scene, Officers found 18-year-old Clinton Montgomery of North Richland Hills inside the home with a gunshot wound.  Further investigation revealed that Montgomery was attempting to enter the residence when he was shot by the homeowner. 

Frisco Fire Department personnel later transported Montgomery to a local hospital for treatment where he remains in custody for Burglary of a Habitation. The offense is a second-degree felony carrying a maximum punishment of two to twenty years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

UPDATE: Road rage led to stabbing that injured three people at Prosper RaceTrac

On Sunday, November 26, 2023, Prosper Police and Fire/EMS along with Frisco Fire/EMS responded to a disturbance and stabbing at the RaceTrac gas station, located at 4870 W. University Drive (US 380 and Gee Road).

Prosper PD’s investigation preliminarily revealed the incident began as a road rage altercation between two drivers. Both drivers stopped at the Race Trac station and an altercation began, involving three individuals. When police arrived and secured the scene, the three individuals had lacerations and other knife wounds.

All three individuals were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigators determined two of the subjects were the aggressors and were arrested and booked into the Denton County jail following their release from the hospital. Both face charges of Assault Causing Bodily Injury.

No additional details will be released as this continues to be an ongoing criminal investigation.

Woman and her boyfriend struck by vehicle after confronting driver, Fort Worth police say

On Sunday, November 26, at 10:36pm, Fort Worth police responded to an auto pedestrian crash at the QuikTrip on Bryant Irvin Road.

Authorities say one person had allegedly sold her vehicle to another woman, and that woman had stopped making payments. The registered owner location the vehicle at a gas pump where she and her boyfriend blocked it in with two vehicles. An argument ensued, causing the driver the back into the vehicle owner and her boyfriend. She then drove off.

The vehicle owner and her boyfriend suffered serious injuries. They were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The woman drove a short distance and called police. She is cooperating with the investigation.

Detectives will determine if any charges will be filed.

UPDATES: Tarrant County deputy shot; suspect in custody

At 3:42pm today, Fort Worth police officers were dispatched to a shooting at the Fort Worth Community Credit Union, 6454 Brentwood Stair Road, and reports of an injured officer.

Officers arrived within a minute and found an off-duty Tarrant County sheriff’s deputy had been shot twice. MedStar paramedics also arrived a short time later and transported the deputy to JPS Hospital. Several Fort Worth PD and Tarrant County SO officers assisted with closing roadways for the ambulance’s expedited transport.

According to Tarrant County Judge O’Hare, the deputy was working security at the bank in an off-duty capacity. He was in full uniform at the time of the incident.

As of 6:15pm, the deputy was in surgery. His condition was not released by officials.

The suspect was tracked to a residential neighborhood not far from the scene, where he was taken into custody.

UPDATE – The deputy has made it out of surgery and is expected to survive, says Sheriff Bill Waybourn. He was shot twice: once in the abdomen and once in the chest. He returned fire, but did not shoot the suspect.

UPDATE: 19-year-old driver killed in south Arlington crash

On Saturday, November 25, 2023, at approximately 9:58 p.m., the Arlington Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS responded to the intersection of S. Collins Street and N. Webb Ferrell Road to investigate a crash.

A vehicle was traveling east on N. Webb Ferrell while a pickup truck was traveling south on S. Collins. Both vehicles entered the intersection and collided with one another. The driver of the vehicle was extricated by Arlington firefighters and transported to a local hospital and declared deceased. He has been identified as a 19-year-old man.

The passenger of the vehicle and the driver of the pickup truck were not injured.

Investigators are still evaluating all evidence on scene in order to determine what may have caused the crash.

Wrong-way driver collision kills 2 in Midlothian

The Midlothian Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that claimed the lives of two people.

Around midnight Friday night, Midlothian Fire/EMS and Police responded to a vehicle crash with entrapment along the eastbound (southbound) lanes of Highway 287 between Midlothian Parkway and Plainview Road.

Police say a wrong-way driver caused a head-on collision on the highway. Officers arrived to find one of the vehicles on fire.

The driver and one passenger inside the wrong-way vehicle were pronounced deceased at the scene. The second passenger in the vehicle was airlifted to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The other driver hit by the wrong-way driver was also airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The victims have been identified as two 38-year-old females.

The crash remains under investigation.

[Updated] Woman wanted for murder after early-morning shooting in Rendon

UPDATE – She has been arrested.

This morning just after 4:30am, Rendon Fire Department along with Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a shooting in the 3900 block of Joalene Court. Two people were transported to Fort Worth area hospitals.

Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect as 25-year-old Kaitlyn Marie Bailey. She is actively wanted by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office for Murder.

She is believed to be in a 2007 Black Ford Fusion TXLP FVH1258 and to be armed with a handgun.

“Do not approach as she is considered armed and dangerous,” said the TCSO. “Please contact the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office at 817-884-1213 with information related to Bailey and/or her location.”

Intoxicated driver causes fatal Arlington crash, police say

On Monday, November 20, 2023, at approximately 9:08 a.m., Arlington Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS responded to a three-vehicle crash in the 3900 block of West Division Street near Forest Edge Drive.

Investigators determined a pickup truck was traveling in the west bound lanes of West Division Street when the driver crossed into the east bound lanes of oncoming traffic and struck a second pickup truck. Material from inside the truck bed flew off and struck a third vehicle.

The driver of the eastbound pickup truck was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver who caused the crash, 44-year-old Guerrero Madrid Salgado, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators believe Mr. Salgado was intoxicated at the time of the crash. Once he is cleared by medical staff, he will be booked into the Arlington City Jail on one count of Intoxication Manslaughter and one count of Possession of Controlled Substance.

No other injuries were reported.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
