One young woman killed, two others hurt after vehicle hits them on I-20 in Fort Worth

The Fort Worth Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a driver who struck three women walking along the shoulder of Interstate 20 overnight.

Authorities say the women were in a vehicle when it crashed on the interstate. All three got out of the car and were walking along the highway to get help when an unknown driver struck them on the right shoulder.

One of the women was pronounced deceased at the scene by MedStar paramedics. She has been identified as a 20-year-old woman from Fort Worth. The other two women were transported to hospitals with undisclosed injuries.

Traffic investigators say the driver failed to stop and render aid. Fort Worth PD is asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or has any further information about this case, to contact Detective Carter 817-392-4885. Report #210087647

Multiple people hurt after small plane crashes along I-20 near Weatherford

Multiple agencies including the Weatherford Fire Department, Hudson Oaks Police Department, Lifecare EMS, Texas Department of Public Safety, FAA, and more are investigating a plane crash in the area of Interstate 20 and Mikus Road.

Reports indicate the small aircraft when down around 7:00pm near the Parker County Airport-WEA. TxDOT cameras in the area show the aircraft overturned and tangled in power lines along the interstate service road west of Mikus Road.

Officials with DPS say the plane lost power for an unknown reason and crashed onto the north shoulder of I-20.

There were five people on board the aircraft, including children. All have been transported to local hospitals with injuries reported. Their conditions have not yet been released. Four ambulances from Lifecare EMS were called to the scene.

The crash sparked a small grass fire which firefighters were able to quickly contain.

The westbound I-20 service road is closed while law enforcement and transportation authorities investigate the scene. Expect activity for the next several hours.

Motorcyclist killed in crash with vehicle near Arlington / Fort Worth city border

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatality accident involving a motorcycle that occurred earlier this afternoon near the city’s western border with Fort Worth.

At around 12:00pm, Arlington FD, PD, and EMS responded to a crash on Dottie Lynn Parkway near the Village Creek Historical Area. This is located between Division Street in Arlington and Brentwood Stair Road in Fort Worth.

Arlington police confirm the crash involved a motorcyclist and an SUV. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

He has been identified as a 44-year-old man from Crowley.

Additional details will be released in a press release by the Arlington Police Department. We will update with any additional information.

Young man killed in shooting at Saginaw house

UPDATE: Press release published below.

The Saginaw Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at a house in Saginaw on Tuesday evening.

At around 11:45pm, Saginaw police officers were called to a house in the 600 block of Oak Hollow Trail for a shooting. One person was shot multiple times and pronounced deceased at the scene by MedStar paramedics.

The victim has been identified as a 20-year-old man from Fort Worth. His death has been ruled a homicide.

Young driver killed after being struck outside his crashed vehicle on I-30 in Arlington

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred overnight along westbound Interstate 30 near the Green Oaks overpass near the Arlington / Fort Worth border.

Just before 4:00am this morning, an SUV became disabled in the center lane of the highway. One vehicle hit the disabled SUV, which caused a motorcyclist to hit the second vehicle.

After the collision, the 19-year-old driver of the disabled SUV got out of his vehicle and was standing in the roadway when a pickup truck collided with the crash scene. The 19-year-old was struck in the collision.

Paramedics pronounced the 19-year-old deceased on the scene. Three other individuals were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No criminal charges have been filed against any drivers involved.

Westbound lanes of Interstate 30 were closed for approximately four hours while Arlington police investigated the scene.

Woman found shot, killed in crashed vehicle along Fort Worth highway

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating the homicide of a 22-year-old driver that occurred on Tuesday evening.

At 8:39pm, multiple emergency responders were called to the scene of a major accident along eastbound Airport Freeway (Highway 183) near Amon Carter Blvd. Upon arrival, officers located a woman shot and killed in a crashed vehicle along the highway median.

The 22-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. She was a resident of Wichita Falls.

At this time, authorities have not stated if this was a result of road rage.

Homicide detectives are actively investigating this incident.

Motorcyclist killed in crash with vehicle in Richardson

The Richardson Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Centennial Blvd and Whitehall Drive.

Police say a 29-year-old motorcyclist was traveling east on Centennial when he collided with an SUV. The driver of the SUV was attempting to turn south onto Whitehall Drive from westbound Centennial when they pulled in front of the motorcyclist.

Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist deceased on the scene.

Police are interviewing witnesses to determine the cause of the crash.

Couple found murdered in Plano home; suspect arrested

The Richardson and Plano Police Departments are investigating a murder that occurred Wednesday evening at a house in the 5800 block of Mulvane Drive.

At approximately 7:30pm, Richardson police received a call that a murder had occurred in their city. Officers responded to the residence given by the 9-1-1 caller, but there was no contact at the house.

Richardson officers then responded to a residence on Mulvane Drive in Plano. Police did not release what led officers to this home after checking the first location.

When Richardson officers arrived on Mulvane Drive, they found the front door open at the home. A man and a woman were found inside the house, both deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers tracked down the suspect to Wylie, Texas where he was taken into custody without incident.

Plano Police Detectives in the Crimes Against Persons Unit have begun their investigation. This incident is currently ongoing.

Juvenile struck, killed by vehicle while kids run across highway

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating an unfortunate accident involving an 11-year-old male juvenile.

At around 5:45pm, Fort Worth Fire Department, Police Department, and MedStar EMS were dispatched to a major accident involving a pedestrian on southbound West Loop 820 near Camp Bowie Blvd.

Authorities say a group of three juveniles were attempting to run across the highway when one was struck by a passing vehicle. Paramedics pronounced the 11-year-old male juvenile deceased on the scene.

Lanes of southbound West Loop 820 were closed while Fort Worth police investigated the scene.

Police are investigating the crash.

Interstate 30 reopened following hours long closure for fatality crash in Royse City

Interstate 30 has been reopened following a serious crash involving multiple vehicles and semi trucks in Rockwall County.

Royse City PD say traffic had slowed on the roadway for an unknown reason when the driver of an 18-wheeler failed to slow and rear-ended another 18-wheeler at high speeds. This caused a chain reaction crash involving three other vehicles.

The driver of the 18-wheeler who caused the crash did not survive his injuries. All other injuries were non-life-threatening.

Lanes of westbound Interstate 30 were closed for at least four hours while police cleared up the scene.
