Three injured, one fatally, in shooting at Fort Worth house

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting at a house in the 900 block of Davis Avenue near New York Avenue in the city’s Hillside / Morningside neighborhood.

Fort Worth police say they were called to the house just after 6:00AM this morning after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a suicide attempt.

First responding officers located a total of three injured persons. One of them, a woman, was deceased. The other two, another woman and a man, were both transported to a local hospital for treatment. The injured woman is believed to be the one who dialed 9-1-1.

Police did not say whether the man was suspect in the case, but they did indicate there is no active search for a suspect.

This is an active investigation.

Police arrest two people attempting to steal ATM in North Richland Hills

At around 4:00AM this morning, the North Richland Hills Police Department was called to an ATM burglary at the EECU credit union, 9009 N. Tarrant Parkway near Davis Blvd.

As officers arrived, several individuals ran away on foot, leading to a foot chase and search of the area. Fort Worth Police Department’s Air-1 helicopter along with the K-9 team were called in to help locate the suspects.

Police have arrested two people associated with this burglary.

Officers are still on the scene documenting evidence. You can expect police activity in the area.

3 killed after car splits in half, plunges off bridge in Dallas crash

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a severe crash that killed three people last night in southeast Dallas.

Just before 8:15PM, multiple Dallas Fire Rescue and Police Department personnel were called to the scene on S. Great Trinity Forest Way just east of Interstate 45 for a major crash. One vehicle had reportedly crashed off the bridge.

Investigators say a sedan driving westbound on the roadway crossed over and hit an eastbound vehicle head-on. This caused the westbound sedan to split into two pieces. The passenger compartment of the sedan then plunged off the bridge.

All three occupants inside the sedan were ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was transported by Dallas Fire Rescue to a local hospital with major injuries.

Lanes of Great Trinity Forest Way were shut down between I-45 and the Trinity Forest Golf Club while police investigated the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Arlington firefighters respond to multiple fires

The Arlington Fire Department has responded to multiple structure fires this evening, including two house fires and one apartment fire.

The first house fire was dispatched around 5:45PM this evening on Covebrook Court in north Arlington. Squad 4 was first on scene and found heavy smoke showing from a two-story house. A 2nd alarm was called. Firefighters extinguished the fire with no injuries.

At around 7:00PM, the second house fire was dispatched on Wildwood Drive near AT&T Stadium. Firefighters found a working fire inside of a one-story house. The fire was extinguished with no injuries.

A third fire was dispatched around 8:30PM at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of W. Lovers Lane. It was reported to 9-1-1 that people were trapped, leading to an immediate call for 2 alarms. Upon arrival, firefighters declared a working fire, but no one was trapped. The fire was extinguished with no injuries.

UPDATE: Two people airlifted from severe crash on I-30 in Arlington

The Arlington Police Department has closed all eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 near State Highway 360 due to a serious single-vehicle crash.

The crash occurred around 2:15PM in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 30 near the Six Flags Drive exit. One vehicle struck a guardrail along the right shoulder of the highway, causing significant damage to the vehicle. Officials say the guardrail went through the vehicle.

Emergency responders advised two people, both males, were heavily trapped inside the vehicle. Both had sustained amputation-related injuries. Two medical helicopters were immediately called to the scene as firefighters began extricating both occupants.

CareFlite landed two helicopters on the eastbound lanes of I-30 just east of the crash scene. They airlifted the two individuals to Texas Health Harris Hospital with serious injuries.

As of 3:45PM, the highway remains closed. Westbound lanes are open. Arlington PD reports the closure should last another hour or two. All traffic is forced to exit at SH 360.

The cause of the crash is under investigation at this time. Further updates will follow.

Man running from cops struck, killed by 18-wheeler on I-30 in Dallas

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatality accident involving a pedestrian and an 18-wheeler.

Officials with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office say a deputy attempted to stop a motorcyclist on eastbound Interstate 30 near Buckner when the rider ran away on foot.

He ran across the service road and onto the freeway when he was struck by an 18-wheeler, killing him instantly.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced the rider deceased on the scene.

All lanes of eastbound I-30 are closed near St. Francis due to this crash and police investigation.

Tuber hit by boat on Lake Granbury; divers still searching for victim

Multiple emergency responders from Hood County are searching for the victim of a boating accident that occurred yesterday on Lake Granbury.

On Saturday afternoon, it was reported that a woman riding an towable tube had been involved in an accident with a boat. It is unclear if the boat hit the tube, or hit the rider who had fallen into the water. Details regarding the crash are still not known at this time.

After the incident, the woman went underwater and did not resurface. A search began yesterday afternoon, and has continued throughout the day today (Sunday). They are focusing their efforts near the banks of DeCordova Bend Estates.

Several personnel from the Texas Game Wardens (Dive Team and K-9), Brazos River Authority, Trinity River Water District, Hood County Sheriff’s Office, and firefighters from Hood and Somervell counties have all taken part in the search.

The search will likely conclude at daybreak tonight, but start again in the morning with new daylight.

Pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle near Medical City Denton

Around 11PM last night, the Denton Police Department and Fire Department responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at Mayhill Road and the I35E service road.

Police say a pedestrian was struck by a passing vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to nearby Medical City Denton with major injuries, and succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The pedestrian has been identified as a 50-year-old man from Dallas.

Mayhill Road was closed for several hours around midnight last night while Denton police investigated the scene. It is unknown if the driver stopped.

3 killed after speeding drunk driver hits vehicle in Dallas

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a multi-fatality accident involving a drunk driver that occurred overnight in the Pleasant Grove area of southeast Dallas.

At around 2:45AM this morning, a drunk driver was traveling northbound on Masters Drive at a high rate of speed when he collided with a vehicle that was turning left onto Old Seagoville Road from southbound Masters Drive.

The drunk driver’s vehicle overturned and landed off the roadway. The other vehicle also landed off the roadway and on a sidewalk.

One passenger in the drunk driver’s vehicle was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Two occupants in the other vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene as well.

The drunk driver, identified as a 24-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

Police have charged the driver with three counts of Intoxication Manslaughter.

The crash is under investigation at this time.

3 people found dead at northwest Dallas motel

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a homicide involving three victims at a motel in northwest Dallas.

Police were called to the Super 7 Inn, 10335 Gardner Road, around lunchtime on Saturday after a manager reported finding multiple people dead inside one of the rooms.

Emergency responders did locate three deceased individuals in one of the rooms. All of them were killed, police say, but the nature of their death was not immediately released.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner has taken possession of the victims and will make a ruling on the cause of death.

There is no information available regarding the suspect in this case.
