Limo driver hits, kills pedestrian in Arlington

A limo driver will not face charges following a fatal crash in north Arlington, police say.

At approximately 10:56pm on Tuesday evening, a limo driver was traveling northbound on N. Collins Street when the vehicle struck a pedestrian walking in the right lane of the roadway. Police say he was wearing dark clothing.

Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a Texas Health HEB, but he was pronounced deceased. He has been identified as a 31-year-old man.

Police say the limo driver pulled over and rendered “reasonable assistance.” She is not facing any charges related to this accident.

The collision occurred between NE Green Oaks Blvd and Viridian Park Lane.

“The Arlington Police Department reminds the public that pedestrians should always use sidewalks and only cross roadways at traffic lights and designated crosswalks.”

No serious injuries after school bus hits 18-wheeler in Fort Worth

At 5:16pm this evening, multiple emergency responders from Fort Worth PD, Fort Worth FD, and MedStar EMS responded to the intersection of Crowley Road and Park West Circle for a crash involving a school bus.

Officials say the driver of a school bus hit the back end of an 18-wheeler.

There were no children on the school bus. MedStar says the driver of the school bus did not sustain any serious injuries.

Lanes were closed while Fort Worth PD cleared the scene.

Missing Little Elm man found dead at Denton County crash scene

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that reportedly occurred on the evening of Thanksgiving, November 24th, in Denton County.

Yesterday, a citizen in the area of Farm to Market Road 2931 and Brewer Road located a crashed vehicle off the road. The vehicle was located in heavy brush on a private property. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators determined the crash occurred several days earlier. They believe the crash occurred around 9:00pm on Thursday evening. The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed on southbound Farm to Market Road 2931 when he failed to make a sharp curve in the road. The vehicle crashed off the roadway and overturned.

The deceased driver has been identified as a missing 30-year-old man from Little Elm.

The crash remains under investigation.

Customer shoots, kills man stealing items at dollar store in Dallas

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred at a Family Dollar store on Tuesday evening.

Last night just before 7:30pm, a man was attempting to steal items from the Family Dollar store located in the 3200 block of S. Lancaster Road. Store employees caught the man and a fight broke out.

A 47-year-old male customer entered the store and witnessed the fight. The customer pulled out a weapon and shot the man as he fought with the employees. The alleged thief then stumbled outside the store, collapsed, and died. Police did not find any weapons on him.

The customer was arrested for murder and taken to the Dallas County jail.

The incident remains under investigation.

Juvenile killed in Grand Prairie shooting

The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred early Monday morning at a home in the 2000 block of Aggie Drive.

At 4:15am, Grand Prairie police officers responded to the scene and located a 17-year-old male with an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to Medical City Arlington where he died from his injuries.

Detectives say the victim and the suspects, who knew each other, were engaged in high-risk activity (such as a drug deal or similar situation) when a disturbance between the three individuals occurred. During the fight, one of the suspects shot the victim.

The suspects, identified by police as a 17-year-old male and 20-year-old male, were arrested at their house in Waxahachie by the United States Marshal Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force. Both are in the Grand Prairie jail on a charge of Capital Murder. Bond is set at $1,000,000 each.

The incident remains under investigation.

Two drivers killed in wrong-way crash on PGBT in Rowlett

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred overnight in the southbound lanes of the President George Bush Turnpike near Lakeview Parkway.

At around 12:19am this morning, Rowlett Fire Department and DPS Troopers responded to the crash and found two vehicles with major damage. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.

Authorities say the driver of a pickup truck was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of PGBT when they hit another vehicle head-on. Both drivers were killed in their crash. Their identities have not yet been released pending next of kin notifications.

The crash remains under investigation.

Motorcyclist killed in Parker County crash

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred late Monday night between Granbury and Weatherford.

At around 11:00pm, multiple emergency responders were called to a motorcycle crash in the 11100 block of Granbury Highway (Farm to Market Road 51) near Baker Cut Off Road.

Troopers say a 28-year-old man was operating a motorcycle at high speeds when he lost control on a curve and crashed into a fence. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a resident of Weatherford.

No additional details have been released.

Child shot in drive-by shooting, Fort Worth police say

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting in the 2800 block of Avenue I.

At 8:20pm this evening, Fort Worth police responded to a child shot inside of a residence after a drive-by shooting. The juvenile male sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg after a suspect or group of suspects drove up and fired multiple shots into the house.

MedStar transported him to Cook Children’s in good condition.

There is no suspect in custody at this time. The Gun Violence Unit will be responsible for the investigation.

Driver killed in crash on Dallas North Tollway

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident on the Dallas North Tollway.

At 5:48am, Dallas Fire Rescue and DPS Troopers responded to a crash on southbound Dallas North Tollway near Mockingbird Lane.

Investigators say an unoccupied SUV was disabled in the fast lane of traffic when a second SUV hydroplaned and crashed into the vehicle and median barrier. The driver of the second SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Lanes of southbound Dallas North Tollway were closed while DPS investigated the scene. All lanes have since been reopened.

Man struck, killed by 18-wheeler on Central Expressway in Dallas

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred overnight on Central Expressway in north Dallas.

At around 3:10am, the driver of an 18-wheeler called 9-1-1 to report he had struck a pedestrian on northbound Central Expressway near Forest Lane.

Authorities say a man was walking in the lanes of traffic when he was struck by the semi. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian deceased on the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
