Motorcyclist critically hurt in Richland Hills crash

The Richland Hills Police Department is investigating a serious crash that critically injured a motoryclist.

At around 2:30pm this afternoon, a motorcyclist traveling on Handley Ederville Road was involved in a traffic collision near the intersection with Tower Street. Impact from the crash caused the rider to be ejected from the bike.

Richland Hills EMS transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital in critical conditions.

Lanes of Handley Ederville Road were closed for accident investigation.

Teenager shot outside high school in Dallas; suspect at large

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred this afternoon near Spruce High School in the 9700 block of Old Seagoville Road.

At around 4:30pm, a juvenile male was near the high school when he was shot by an unknown suspect in a vehicle. The suspect later fled the scene.

Dallas Fire Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital in stable condition.

The suspect is still at large.

Two shot at Fort Worth apartment complex

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred this afternoon at the Stoneybrook Apartment Homes, 6020 Stoneybrook Drive, in east Fort Worth.

At around 1:39pm, shots were fired during an altercation at the apartment complex. Officers arrived to find two victims with gunshot wounds. A third person was injured after apparently jumping off a balcony.

MedStar transported all three victims to a local hospital. One of the shooting victims is in critical condition.

“It appears that the other two individuals detained / hospitalized are the main suspects in this incident,” says the Fort Worth PD.

No other suspects are at large.

The incident remains under investigation.

Couple struck, killed by vehicle in Lewisville

The Lewisville Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred earlier this morning at the intersection of Round Grove Road and Rockbrook Drive.

At approximately 6:15am, Lewisville Fire/EMS and PD responded to the intersection after 9-1-1 calls were received that two people had been struck by a vehicle.

When emergency responders arrived, they located a man and woman deceased at the scene. They are both believed to be between 30-40 years of age. Their identities have not been released pending family notification.

Investigators are speaking with the driver who hit the couple. He remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing and any potential charges have not yet been determined.

Swimmer’s body recovered from Lake Bardwell in Ellis County

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Division is investigating a drowning that occurred Sunday afternoon at Lake Bardwell in Ellis County.

At 3:30pm, multiple emergency responders were dispatched to the area of Highview Park for a possible drowning.

Ellis County Game Wardens were informed that a man had become separated from his tube around 150 feet from the shoreline. He went underwater and did not resurface.

Game Wardens searched the area for approximately four hours using underwater side scan sonar and located the victim. Divers from the Waxahachie Fire Department recovered the victim around 7:30pm.

The victim has been identified as a 57-year-old man.

14-year-old found shot, killed near Fair Park

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a homicide after a juvenile was found shot multiple times near Fair Park.

At 1:24am this morning, Dallas police officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Al Lipscomb Way for a shooting investigation.

When officers arrived, they found a 14-year-old male in a vacant lot shot multiple times. Dallas Fire Rescue paramedics transported him to a local hospital, but he was pronounced deceased.

The investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE: Man’s body pulled from pond in southwest Fort Worth

At 2:54pm this afternoon, emergency responders from the Fort Worth Fire Department, Fort Worth Police Department, and MedStar EMS were dispatched to a water emergency call at a pond adjacent to the Target store at 5700 Overton Ridge Blvd.

According to an eyewitness, a man ran into the pond for an unknown reason and started having trouble in the water. He went under and did not resurface.

Fort Worth FD’s Dive Team located the body a short time later. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“It is unknown if this was a suicide or an accidental drowning,” according to a statement from the Fort Worth Police Department. The incident remains under investigation.

NEW: Driver killed in crash while racing another vehicle on PGBT in Richardson

The Texas Department of Public Safety has released additional information regarding the fatality accident Saturday afternoon on the President George Bush Turnpike.

At 4:04pm, multiple agencies responded to a single vehicle crash on eastbound PGBT near Custer Road in Richardson.

One vehicle was significantly damaged in the crash. The driver, 29-year-old man, was found deceased near the vehicle.

Officials say he was racing another vehicle at high speeds on the turnpike when he lost control and struck a metal guardrail. Several other drivers also reported seeing two vehicles racing at high speeds and weaving through traffic.

Eastbound lanes of the PGBT were closed for hours while troopers investigated the scene.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Woman struck, killed on 114 in Southlake

The Southlake Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred late Friday night along lanes of westbound Highway 114 near Carroll Avenue.

At 10:19pm, Southlake FD/EMS and PD were called to the scene after a person was struck by a vehicle. Emergency responders arrived to find her unconscious and laying in the roadway.

Southlake paramedics transported the critically injured woman to Baylor Grapevine, but she was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Police have identified the victim as a 32-year-old female.

The highway was closed for several hours while officers investigated the crash scene.

The driver remained at the scene. No criminal charges are pending at this time.

UPDATE: Child killed in Bedford crash

At around 2:30pm this afternoon, Bedford Fire/EMS and Police along with Euless Fire/EMS and Police responded to the northbound lanes of Highway 121 near Cheek-Sparger Road for a major accident.

Emergency responders arrived to find a pickup truck had rear-ended a passenger vehicle at high speeds.

A 2-year-old girl inside the passenger vehicle was transported by paramedics to Baylor Grapevine hospital, but pronounced deceased a short time later.

One of the drivers was arrested at the scene, but police have not stated a charge.

All northbound lanes of 121 were closed for hours this afternoon while Bedford police investigated the crash. The lanes have since been reopened.
