Man walking in Oak Cliff roadway struck and killed by vehicle
The Dallas Police Department responded to a major accident involving a pedestrian in the 700 block of E. Ledbetter Road on Monday morning around 6:15AM.
Upon arrival, they located a man who had been struck by a vehicle. The man was transported by Dallas Fire-Rescue to Methodist Dallas hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
A report from the Dallas PD says the man was “walking in the road” at the time of the crash.
Officials say the driver who struck the man remained at the scene.
The man has been identified as a 75-year-old man who lived about 4 blocks away from the accident site.
The crash is under investigation.
