Man killed in east Fort Worth shooting
On Friday, March 7, 2025, at approximately 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 1500 block of Sandy Lane.
Officers found a victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper torso. Investigators determined that the victim and the suspect were in a verbal argument. The suspect pulled out a weapon, shot the victim multiple times, then fled the scene in a vehicle.
A short time later, a vehicle matching the description was located and Fort Worth Police pursued. The driver was taken into custody.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. He has been identified as a 47-year-old man.
Investigators are working to determine the involvement of the driver in custody.
