Three shot Thanksgiving evening outside Fort Worth apartments; two dead

On Thanksgiving evening at around 9:45pm, Fort Worth police responded to a shooting near the 2800 block of Broadmoor Drive.

Officials say two people were sitting in a vehicle when they were approached by two other men. During the encounter, at least three of the men opened fire on each other.

Emergency crews arrived to find three people shot. One man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other two were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. One has since died.

One suspect fled on foot and remains at large.

The homicide unit is investigating the incident.

52-year-old man shot, killed while inside his North Richland Hills home

The North Richland Hills Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 7300 block of Stonybrooke Drive.

On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 10:57 p.m., NRHPD officers were dispatched to the 7300 block of Stonybrooke Drive after several calls were received about gunshots being heard in the area.

Responding officers located a man who had been struck by gunfire while inside his home. The person was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as a 52-year-old man.

No other details have been released due to the active police investigation.

Wrong way driver causes fatal collision on North Loop 820 in NRH

On November 28, 2024, at 2:16am, NRHPD and NRHFD were dispatched to the 7100 block of 820 toll lanes eastbound in response to a major accident.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a wrong way driver was driving westbound in the eastbound lane when they struck the victim’s vehicle, who was traveling eastbound.

The victim, a 21 year old female, was pronounced deceased on scene. The suspect, a 45 year old male, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the manner and cause of death, as well as the identity of the deceased, once the next of kin has been notified.

The North Richland Hills Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit will be conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Man armed with knife shot and killed by Arlington police

Early this morning, at about 1 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a hotel located near 900 N. Collins Street.

When officers arrived, they encountered two men involved in a physical altercation in a hotel room. One of the men was armed with a knife.

Officers fired their weapons, striking the suspect. The suspect was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

No officers were injured during this incident.

Greenville police officer shot, killed in the line of duty

On Monday, November 25, at around 8:00pm, a Greenville police officer was shot in the 3500 block of Pickett Street.

Initial reports indicate shots were exchanged between the officer and the suspect following a police pursuit.

The officer was shot multiple times and transported to a Plano hospital, but he passed away.

The suspect was also shot, but their condition is not known.

The Texas Rangers are assisting Greenville PD with the investigation into this incident.

Man struck by a vehicle in Haltom City

On November 22, 2024, at approximately 12:46pm, Haltom City PD officers responded to the 4100 block of NE 28th Street for a reported major collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian.

A 67-year-old male was struck by a white passenger car that was westbound in the right lane when the collision occurred.

The driver of the vehicle stopped, as required by law, to render aid. The injured pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with serious, and possibly life-threatening injuries.

Several witnesses provided consistent statements and there appears to be no criminal offense associated with this accident.

HCPD Traffic officers handled the investigation and CID also assisted with scene.

Woman killed in crash near Weatherford

Just before 7:30am this morning, Weatherford FD, Parker County ESD 7, PCHD EMS, and law enforcement were called to the scene of a major accident with reported entrapment in the 3500 block of Mineral Wells Highway near Moss Lane.

Reports indicate a two vehicle crash occurred, and one vehicle overturned.

According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, a 34-year-old woman from Mineral Wells was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Lanes of the roadway were closed while DPS investigated the scene.

Motorcyclist killed in Azle crash

At around 5:30pm on Saturday evening, Azle Fire/EMS and Police responded to a major accident on Southeast Parkway near Skylark Drive.

When units arrived on scene, they located a motorcycle and a vehicle involved in a crash.

The motorcyclist was critically hurt and airlifted to a local trauma center. According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner, he died Sunday morning.

He has been identified as a 49-year-old man from Azle.

Lanes of Southeast Parkway were closed for accident investigation, and reopened around 11:00pm.

23-year-old shot dead outside Arlington night club

The Arlington Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting outside a night club that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old man.

On November 17, 2024, at approximately 5:25 a.m., officers responded to the 3200 block of Justiss Drive to investigate reports of shots fired. As they were arriving on scene, several vehicles were seen driving away from the night club. The officers then found the victim, who had multiple apparent gunshot wounds, lying unresponsive in the parking lot. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Multiple shell casings were recovered from the parking lot. Detectives continue to canvas the area for any surveillance footage that may have captured something.

Investigators believe the victim and many others were attending an event at the night club that continued into Sunday morning.

One killed in shooting near Meacham Airport

On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at approximately 2:37 a.m., Northwest Division officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of N. Main Street in response to a shooting call.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body. Despite efforts by medical personnel to resuscitate the victim, the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the identity of the victim and the official manner and cause of death.
