UPDATE: Teenaged girl killed in Dallas shooting

On Monday evening, December 30, Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to a gunshot victim in the area of Dallas North Tollway and Trinity Mills Road.

When officers arrived, they found a juvenile aged girl with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to scanner traffic. CPR was being administered.

Dallas Fire Rescue transported the victim to a nearby hospital, but she died from her injuries.

Officers located the crime scene at an apartment complex on Timberglen Drive, where a suspect was detained. The shooting reportedly occurred at the apartment complex.

Police say charges are pending for the suspect.

High speed crash claims life of driver in Allen

The Allen Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of one individual early Sunday morning near E. Bethany Drive and Whitman Drive.

At around 12:14 a.m. on Sunday, December 29, officers responded to reports of a major crash at the scene. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle overturned in the creek beneath Bethany Drive.

Inside the vehicle, they discovered an unresponsive male. Officers worked to extract the victim from the wreckage, and emergency personnel from the Allen Fire Department arrived shortly after to administer life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, they were unable to revive the victim, who was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Collin County Medical Examiner.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Bethany Drive at a high rate of speed. After colliding with another vehicle traveling in the same direction, the driver of the speeding vehicle lost control, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and overturn in the creek.

The driver of the other remained on scene and provided a statement to Allen officers.

The investigation is ongoing and we urge anyone who witnessed the crash or has additional

UPDATE: 19-year-old killed in Denton shooting

The Denton Police Department is investigating a Sunday afternoon shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead.

At approximately 1:12 p.m. Sunday, Denton Police and Fire responded to a shooting at the 200 block of Normal Street. A resident called 911 to report that a man was unresponsive and lying on the ground.

A second resident was involved in a disturbance with the man, which resulted in him being shot.

First responders began life saving measures on the victim for an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to Medical City Denton Hospital for treatment and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.

UPDATE: Armed suspect fleeing police causes fatal crash in Dallas

On December 28, 2024, at 1:32 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to assist the Fort Worth Police Department with the pursuit of an armed suspect in a stolen vehicle as it traveled through Chisholm Trail Parkway in Fort Worth.

The pursuit continued through Fort Worth, eventually traversing down Highway 183 through the Mid-Cities, Irving, and into Dallas. It came to an end when the suspect traveled the wrong way on the Service Road of I-35E and Inwood Rd in Dallas and struck a passenger car.

The driver of the passenger car was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 36-year-old male.

Devonte Webber was arrested and booked into the Dallas County Jail for Murder, Evading Arrest with Vehicle Causing Death, Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, and Unlawful Carrying Weapon.

The stolen vehicle, a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, was reported stolen out of Chicago.

Driver killed, passenger gravely hurt in Dallas crash

On Sunday, December 29, 2024, at about 12:55 a.m., Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle crash in the 10700 block of Shiloh Road.

The preliminary investigation determined that a single vehicle had crashed.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported the driver and passenger to the hospital. The driver died from their injuries and the passenger is in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.

Driver flees after causing fatal crash near University Park

At around 12:10am this morning, Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to a major accident in the 6600 block of W. Northwest Highway near Airline Road.

Officials say a driver caused a crash, and then ran away from the scene. Other occupants in the vehicle also ran.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital and died.

The accident remains under investigation.

Shooting suspect kills self after leading Fort Worth PD on chase

At 4:12pm, Fort Worth police responded to a shooting in the 2900 block of Buckskin Run Street. A female was shot multiple times. MedStar EMS transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition.

A short time later, the suspect was spotted by Fort Worth police. Officers attempted to stop him, but he evaded. He led Fort Worth PD on a pursuit up northbound I35W before turning around near Denton and coming back southbound.

The pursuit ended on southbound I35W near Heritage Trace Parkway, where the suspect shot himself. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to police.

Lanes of I-35W have been reopened following the pursuit.

Fort Worth PD will be issuing an updated statement with more details at a later time.

33-year-old man killed in Fort Worth motorcycle crash

At around 6:45am this morning, Fort Worth PD and FD along with MedStar EMS responded to a major accident involving a motorcycle at McCart Avenue and Interstate 20 service road.

Upon arrival, emergency crews located an accident involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.

The 33-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a resident of Leonard, Texas.

Fort Worth PD is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

NEW from FWPD: Attempted robbery leads to three shot at north Fort Worth home

On Christmas Eve, at around 2:53pm, Fort Worth PD, FD, and MedStar EMS responded to a shooting call in the 7500 block of Berrenda Drive.

Upon arrival, emergency responders located three victims with gunshot wounds. One victim, a 17-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other victims were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.

Detectives are working this case as an attempted robbery where both victim(s) and suspect(s) were shot during the course of the robbery. No arrests have been made at this time.

The incident remains under investigation.

Woman killed in crash near White Rock Lake; driver charged with Intoxication Manslaughter

On Sunday, December 22, 2024, at about 2:45 a.m., Dallas Fire Rescue and DPD officers responded to an accident at Northwest Highway and N Buckner Blvd.

The preliminary investigation determined the driver and victim, front passenger, were traveling eastbound in the 9000 block of E. Northwest Highway, near Flag Pole Hill Park, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed.

DFR pronounced the passenger, a 23-year-old woman, deceased at the scene.

The driver, also a 23-year-old woman, was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries and will be charged with Intoxication manslaughter.
