Driver killed, passenger critically hurt after vehicle slams into two Dallas houses

At around 3:30am this morning, Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to a major accident in the 6800 block of Woodwick Drive near Camp Wisdom Road.

Authorities say a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into two houses, killing the driver of the vehicle. A passenger inside the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with major injuries.

There were no reports of injuries inside either house.

The crash remains under investigation.

Woman killed in Fort Worth crash

On Sunday, July 27, at around 2:51pm, Fort Worth Fire/EMS and Police responded to a major accident at the intersection of Trinity Blvd. and Post Oak Blvd.

Officers arrived to find an accident involving a sedan and an 18-wheeler.

The driver of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as a 27-year-old female.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Driver loses control, crashes into bus stop and building in Fort Worth; one killed

On Saturday, July 19, at around 3:07pm, Fort Worth Police and Fire/EMS responded to a major accident in the 5500 block of E. Lancaster Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found that three individuals standing near a bus stop were struck by vehicle. The vehicle then crashed through the front of a nearby convenience store.

One of the individuals was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other two individuals had non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say two vehicles were traveling westbound on Lancaster Avenue at a high rate of speed when one driver lost control and crashed. Both drivers involved are in police custody and charges are expected to be filed, according to police.

The incident remains under investigation.

Motorcyclist killed in Dallas crash, police say

On Friday, July 18th, at around 10:35pm, Dallas Fire Rescue and Police responded to a major accident at the intersection of South Corinth St. Road and 11th Street.

A preliminary investigation determined that a motorcyclist collided into another car near the intersection.

The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, and remained at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.

One person killed in fiery Haltom City crash

On Thursday, July 17, 2025, Haltom City Police and emergency personnel responded to a major motor vehicle collision in the eastbound express lanes of Interstate 820 near Denton Highway. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 PM.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle, driven by an adult male, was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver attempted to change lanes to avoid traffic. Unbeknownst to him, a disabled work truck and trailer were positioned ahead on the left side of the roadway. The vehicle collided with the rear of the trailer, causing a significant impact that immediately ignited a fire in the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased and determine the official cause and manner of death.

The driver of the disabled truck sustained minor injuries due to flying debris. Two additional occupants of the truck were outside of the vehicle at the time of the crash and were not injured.

Haltom City Traffic Investigators, Detectives, and Crime Scene Technicians responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. The roadway remains closed so please find an alternate route.

UPDATE: Two drivers killed in wrong-way crash on 114 in Irving

At around 2:45am this morning, multiple people called 9-1-1 to inform police of a wrong way driver traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 114.

A short time later, the wrong way driver collided head-on with another vehicle traveling eastbound. The collision occurred on the highway near Esters Blvd.

Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene.

All eastbound lanes of Highway 114 were shut down until 9:30am this morning while Irving police investigated the scene.

Plano murder suspect killed in shootout with police in Euless

On Thursday, July 10th, 2025, at about 12:00pm, Euless Police Officers received information that a Plano PD homicide suspect’s vehicle had entered the City of Euless.

The suspect had a warrant for arrest for the charge of Murder. A Euless patrol officer, operating a marked patrol unit, located the vehicle as it entered an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Fuller Wiser Road. The Euless patrol officer initiated a traffic stop using emergency lights, and the driver of the suspect vehicle pulled into a parking space within the apartment complex.

The driver of the suspect vehicle did not respond to the officer’s commands.

The Euless patrol officer was immediately joined by plainclothes police officers from the Plano Police Department. Plano and Euless officers began coordinating their efforts when the vehicle’s sole occupant posed an immediate threat to officers, resulting in an exchange of gunfire.

Officers secured the area, and the suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene.

There were no injuries to officers or other civilians.

MURDER PRESS RELEASE FROM PLANO POLICE

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at approximately 4:15 pm, Plano Police Officers were dispatched to a Welfare Concern in the 6000 block of Water Street. The reporting party advised that a female subject may be injured at the location.

Upon officers arrival, a female was discovered at the location and Plano Fire-Rescue personnel determined that the female was deceased. No other persons were found inside the residence.

This incident is currently under investigation by the Crimes Against Persons Unit.

Child injured in road rage shooting, Grapevine police say

At approximately 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, Grapevine officers responded to reports of a shooting near SH-121 and Bass Pro Drive.

The driver of a pickup told police that another driver shot into his truck and took off. 

The driver of the pickup was able to safely stop at a nearby gas station off Grapevine Mills Parkway and call 9-1-1. No bullets struck a person, but shattered glass injured a 7-year-old child. That child was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Two other children were in the pickup at the time but were not hurt. 

Grapevine Police have identified the suspect’s vehicle and are actively investigating the case tonight.

Two killed after TRE train hits vehicle in Dallas

At around 9:15am this morning, Dallas Fire Rescue and DART Police Department responded to a major accident involving a TRE train at Market Center Blvd and Harry Hines Blvd.

Officials say a TRE train struck the driver’s side of a vehicle on the tracks.

Two people inside the vehicle was pronounced deceased.

It is unknown if anyone sustained injuries inside the train.

The incident remains under investigation.

Motorcyclist killed in Keller crash

On Tuesday, July 8th, at around 9:00am, Keller and Watauga first responders were dispatched to the scene of a major accident in the 700 block of S. Main Street in Keller.

When first responders arrived, they located a van and a motorcycle had been involved in a collision.

Paramedics administered CPR on the motorcyclist, who was rushed to a local trauma center, but did not survive his injuries.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has identified the motorcyclist as a 47-year-old man.

The driver of the minivan sustained minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
