One dead, one injured in Saturday morning shooting in Pleasant Grove

The Dallas Police Department is seeking information related to a shooting homicide this morning in the Pleasant Grove area.

Dallas police officers responded to the scene in the 9800 block of Glengreen Drive around 9:10am this morning. When they arrived, they located a 28-year-old male deceased from a gunshot wound. Another victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing 3-4 black males flee the location immediately after the shooting and enter a tan colored 4-door sedan.

Dallas Police are asking that anyone with information regarding this incident contact Detective Grubbs with the Dallas PD Homicide Unit at 214-671-3675.

UPDATE: Three injured after vehicle crashes into house near McKinney

At around 3:30pm today, McKinney FD/EMS along with Collin County sheriffs deputies and DPS troopers responded to a major accident involving a vehicle vs. house near Sweetwater Cove and Three Rivers Lane in Collin County.

Preliminary investigation indicates a Cadillac was traveling west on Sweetwater Cove when, for an as of yet undetermined reason, left the roadway. The vehicle travel across a sidewalk, through a fence and struck a house located in the 7700 block of Caddo Cove.

The driver was transported to Medical City McKinney with unknown injuries. A back seat passenger was also transported to Medical City McKinney with non-life-threatening injuries. A third passenger sustained minor injuries.

There was no one inside the residence at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation at this time.

UPDATE: DPS Trooper injured in rollover crash in Ellis County

Here is a quick update to the incident we posted yesterday afternoon.

At around 4:30pm, Ellis County ESD #6 personnel along with Ellis County EMS were called to the scene of a major accident involving a police officer in the 2200 block of FM 878 west of Ike.

According to DPS, preliminary information indicates the trooper was responding to assist another police department with a priority call. The trooper was traveling east on FM 878 when, for an as of yet undetermined reason, the vehicle left the roadway. The vehicle slid off the north side of the roadway and overturned.

The trooper was transported to Baylor Waxahachie hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

I20 closed in Fort Worth border due to reported rollover accident

Fort Worth Quint 24, Engine 22, Rescue 14, Forest Hill FD, MedStar EMS, and multiple law enforcement are on scene of a major accident along westbound I20 at Loop 820.

Dispatched information indicates two vehicles overturned (not confirmed at this time).

Police have closed all westbound lanes of I20 at the curve under the SE Loop 820 interchange. Motorists are being forced to turn the wrong way on the freeway and exit.

Unknown injuries at this time. It is best to avoid this area until further notice.

Update – FWPD says no one suffered any major injuries as a result of this crash.

I35E closed in Waxahachie due to a major accident

Multiple emergency responders from Waxahachie Fire Department, Police Department, and Ellis County EMS are working a major accident, reportedly involving a motorcycle, on southbound I35E near Business 287.

All southbound lanes are closed while emergency responders work the scene. A medical helicopter has been requested to the scene.

Major delays exist for at least two miles. It is best to avoid this area.

UPDATE: Four teenagers injured in Johnson County rollover crash

Four teenagers were injured in a rollover crash yesterday afternoon at FM 2738 and FM 917 near Lillian.

According to TxDPS troopers, the crash occurred around 2:30pm. A vehicle occupied by four teenagers was traveling west FM 917 when the driver became distracted by the other occupants. The vehicle crashed off the north side of the roadway into a barrow ditch and overturned.

The driver was transported by CareFlite helicopter to JPS. The three other teenagers in the vehicle were taken to JPS with minor injuries.

Dallas police say intoxicated driver caused crash that killed passenger

Dallas Police Officers are investigating a fatality accident in the 300 block of E. Camp Wisdom Road. On Thursday evening just after 6pm, Dallas police and fire crews responded to a crash at the listed location.

Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle that struck a pole. The driver of a pickup truck failed to maintain its lane at an unsafe speed and, for an unknown reason, left the roadway onto the curb. The vehicle then struck a large pole, causing substantial damage to the vehicle.

Both occupants were transported to the hospital in critical condition. The passenger died shortly after arriving. The driver was tested for intoxication and placed it under arrest for Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault.

UPDATE: One dead in multiple vehicle crash on I20 in Weatherford

At around 3:42pm, Weatherford police and fire along with Lifecare EMS units responded to a major accident on I20 at the 408 mile marker. Officers arrived to find an overturned 18 wheeler blocking directions of both eastbound and westbound I20. Three additional vehicles were involved.

Witnesses report the 18 wheeler was eastbound on I20 and failed to control its speed while approaching a back up on the highway. The semi truck crashed into an SUV, causing a multiple vehicle pile up. The 18 wheeler overturned, spilling plastic Gatorade bottles on the highway.

At this time, there is one confirmed fatality. She has been identified as a 44-year-old female riding in one of the passenger vehicles. Seven (7) other individuals were transported from the scene to area hospitals, conditions unknown.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Emergency responders working a major crash on I20 in Weatherford

Multiple emergency responders including Weatherford FD, PD, and Lifecare EMS are on scene of a major accident along I20 near Main Street in Weatherford. Multiple vehicles reportedly involved.

Reports indicate an 18 wheeler is involved and overturned. There are multiple injuries, including at least one requiring extrication.

There are major delays on both westbound and eastbound I20 near Main Street. It is best to avoid this area.

Update – Weatherford Police indicate this is a possible fatality accident. There are significant delays along both side of the freeway. Delays are expected for several hours. Avoid this area.

Update – Lifecare EMS is transporting multiple patients to Harris Fort Worth and Cook Children’s hospitals.

Arlington firefighters contain house fire on the east side

Multiple Arlington firefighters have contained a house fire near the 2100 block of Glenhaven Street.

Firefighters found heavy fire and smoke showing from a one story house upon arrival. Significant damage has been done to the residence.

Truck 1, Engine 1, Engine 6, Quint 6, Rescue 6, Engine 2, and others all responded to the scene.

There are unknown injuries at this time. The fire is under control.
