One killed, two critically hurt after driver attempts to exit last minute on LBJ in Dallas

On May 30, 2026, at approximately 6:28 p.m., Dallas Police and Dallas Fire Rescue responded to a major accident on the in the 11100 block of westbound LBJ Freeway near Plano Road.

The preliminary investigation determined that a three-vehicle collision occurred when a sedan traveling westbound on LBJ Freeway attempted to exit the freeway from the second from left lane. The sedan struck the concrete barrier and traffic attenuator and was subsequently hit by a pickup truck and 18-wheeler.

After the crash, the sedan caught fire.

One passenger in the sedan was ejected and transported to the hospital in critical condition and a second passenger in the sedan died at the scene. The driver of the sedan was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver and two passengers of the pickup were all transported to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.

One person killed in fiery Dallas crash

Just after 7:30am Sunday morning, Dallas Fire Rescue and Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a major accident along northbound I35E near Commonwealth Blvd.

Upon arrival, emergency crews located a single vehicle on fire.

It was determined that the vehicle hit an exit sign, struck a wall, and caught fire. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.

One killed, one hurt in Fort Worth wrong way crash

On Sunday, May 31, 2026, at approximately 4:30am, Fort Worth Fire/EMS and Police were dispatched to a crash at State Hwy 121 and Sylvania.

Upon arrival, officers located 2 vehicles involved in a collision.

One driver was pronounced deceased on scene. The other driver was taken to an area hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

The crash is under investigation.

Two people killed in fiery Hurst crash

At 3:48 AM this morning, Hurst Police and Fire responded to the 200 block of northbound Loop 820 for a major accident.

Callers advised a single vehicle crashed into the embankment causing the vehicle to burst into flames. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle on the inside shoulder. 

When the flames were extinguished, two occupants were discovered inside the vehicle, both of whom were deceased. 

The vehicle’s license plate was destroyed due to the heat, the VIN is not yet accessible, and police have not yet identified the two people who have died. 

The investigation is ongoing. 

Man struck, killed by vehicle after fender bender on I35W in Fort Worth

On May 31, 2026 at, approximately 01:58 am, Fort Worth Fire/EMS and Police were dispatched to a major accident on southbound I35W near E. Ripy Street.

Upon arrival officers learned that an adult male had exited his vehicle after a minor accident. While he was observing the damage, an additional vehicle struck him.

The man was pronounced deceased on scene. 

The suspect vehicle then fled the scene,  but was later located and detained at a secondary location.

UPDATE: Students involved in Sanger crash; one killed, two seriously hurt

On Thursday, May 28th, at around 10:30pm, Sanger Fire/EMS, Pilot Point EMS, and law enforcement responded to the scene of a major accident on FM 455 near Lake Crest Drive just east of Sanger proper.

Upon arrival, emergency responders located a two-vehicle crash. One person was pronounced deceased on the scene, and at least two others were taken to a Denton hospital with serious injuries.

According to Sanger ISD, the individual who died at the scene was a 2025 graduate of Sanger High School. Two additional current Sanger High School students were transported to the hospital for medical care.

Sanger ISD also stated they were members of the Sanger High School cross country team.

Counselors will be on call throughout the weekend and available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for any Sanger ISD student or staff member needing support. If you or your child needs assistance over the weekend, please contact the high school principal, Carly Sperry, by email at carly.sperry@sangerisd.net. She will be monitoring communication throughout the weekend, said Sanger ISD in a release.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Four people shot, three fatally, at Dallas house party

On May 26, 2026, about 12:20 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 3700 block of Vilbig Road.

The preliminary investigation determined that when officers arrived, they located three people who had been shot by an unknown suspect.

Two of the victims died at the scene, and one died at the hospital.

Two of the victims were identified as a 20-year-old and a 19-year-old. The third deceased victim’s name will be released after their family has been notified.

A fourth shooting victim was transported to the hospital by private vehicle and is in stable condition.

It is believed the victims were at this location, which is a short-term rental, for a party.

Bicyclist struck, killed in crash along I20 in Arlington

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal crash involving a passenger vehicle and a bicycle that occurred Monday afternoon along eastbound Interstate 20 near Matlock Road.

On Monday, May 25, 2026, at approximately 3:49 p.m., Arlington Fire, Police, and EMS responded to the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 near Matlock Road to investigate a major crash involving a bicyclist and a vehicle.

Preliminary investigation indicates the bicyclist was attempting to cross the interstate from south to north when a passenger vehicle traveling in the eastbound lane of the highway swerved to avoid the bicyclist. A second passenger vehicle traveling behind that car then struck the bicyclist.

The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Eastbound Interstate 20 was temporarily shut down near Cooper Street while officers investigated the circumstances of the crash and cleared the roadway.

The investigation remains ongoing.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased once next of kin have been notified.

Man drowns near Eagle Point Marina at Lake Lewisville

On Sunday evening at around 7:00pm, Lewisville Fire Department and Texas Parks and Wildlife personnel responded to a drowning near Eagle Point Marina on Lake Lewisville.

Upon arrival, Lewisville FD located an unconscious person that was pulled from the water and attempted resuscitation efforts. CPR was administered on the individual, but he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

TPWD says two brothers were attempting to dock their boat when the victim fell into the water and was unable to get back into the board or make it to the dock safely. The operator of the boat was able to get the victim back to the shore where CPR was started prior to emergency personnel arriving on scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as a 48-year-old man.

The incident remains under investigation by the Texas Parks and Wildlife agency.

Woman arrested for Murder after fatally stabbing another woman, Mansfield police say

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, at approximately 10:51 p.m., officers with the Mansfield Police Department
responded to a disturbance at a residence located in the 200 block of Morgan Road in Tarrant County.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that multiple individuals were fighting behind the residence. Officers immediately responded to the rear of the property, where they encountered three individuals: two adult females and one adult male.

One female, age 50, was found suffering from multiple stab wounds. A 43-year-old male was located without visible injuries, and a second 43-year-old female sustained injuries. Officers immediately separated and secured the individuals and began administering lifesaving measures to the critically injured female while requesting emergency medical assistance.

Mansfield Fire Department paramedics arrived on scene and continued lifesaving efforts while also treating the second injured female. Both females were transported to Methodist Mansfield Hospital.

The critically injured female was later pronounced deceased at 11:55 p.m.

The residence and property was secured as a crime scene, and detectives along with crime scene personnel responded to continue the investigation. Investigators conducted interviews with all involved parties and collected evidence related to the incident.

Preliminary findings indicate the incident began as a verbal altercation between the three individuals, which escalated into a physical confrontation between the two females. During the altercation, a knife was allegedly used by Jarishia Jackson, resulting in fatal injuries to the victim.

Jarishia, age 43, was arrested and charged with Murder under Texas Penal Code 19.02(c). After she was released from the hospital, she was transported to the Mansfield Police Department Jail for booking.
